About Image to Text OCR
Image to Text OCR converts screenshots, scanned pages, receipts, labels, and photos of printed text into editable text. It is useful when you need to copy an error message from a screenshot, extract text from a scanned note, recover copy from an image-only PDF page, or move printed content into a document.
The OCR runs in your browser using Tesseract. Language files may download on first use, but the selected image is processed locally by the page. The output is editable, copyable, and downloadable as a text file so you can clean it before pasting into docs, tickets, spreadsheets, or emails.
OCR accuracy depends on image quality. Use sharp, well-lit, high-contrast images with horizontal printed text whenever possible. Handwriting, curved pages, small fonts, reflections, low resolution, and heavy compression can reduce accuracy, so always review the extracted text before using it in production work.
